Watercolor on paper in progress. The view from out front portch at a Christian family camp we go to in the Santa Cruz Mountains. You can see I'm using masking fluid on the sunflowers.
This is my very first watercolor painting. It was done using my kids' 8-color set, a few old 25-cent brushes, and some printing paper. I cleaned it up on the computer a bit after scanning it. It now hangs in my daugher's room in a white frame.
I guess I like painting other people's stuff. These were some flowers be bought for friends we were housesitting for in Felton, near Santa Cruz. I framed this and gave it to my mom on Mother's Day.
I have a friend who is a Pastor in Gridley. He and his wife own a sprawling 120-acre ranch in Rogue River Oregon. This is one of his three barns. The horse is from my kids' learn to draw book.
